COPY WRITING - A DIFFERENT WAY IN WRITING


Can you introduce a variety of products to the customers easily and effectively without leaving any of their features by writing? Then this world of creativity can be yours. Copyrighters have the responsibility of presenting the goods and services to the market. While media technically changes continually the writing style of the newspaper, television, radio, web and other modern news outlets must be in the modern style. Can you prepare the catching headlines, inspiring contents and attracting footnote captions? Then you can succeed in this career. The last proof of the advertisement going to be publishing is also the responsibility of copy writer.

Qualifications and institutions

There are no technical eligibility criteria for a copywriter. But there are some training institutes which provide proper training for this profession.  But beyond all the qualifications the copywriter should be a creative person. To work seriously and critically, intense ideas are needed.

Some institutes in India have been conducting communication courses related to copywriting. Institutions such as IIMC Delhi (http://www.iimc.nic.in/),  Mudra Institute of Communication Ahmedabad (http://www.mica.ac.in/mode/home), Narcis Monji Institute of Management Studies Mumbai ( http://nmims.edu/),  Sri Aurobindo Center for Arts and Communication (SACAC) (http://www.sac.ac.in/).  The Indira Gandhi National Open Unity Center (http://www.ignou.ac.in/) have been conducting one year Diploma Course in Copywriting in English and Hindi. In Kerala there are also communication courses are available in institutes like the Press Academy.
